The consumer price index (CPI) increased 0.3% last month after gaining 0.2% in December amid a surge in the cost of shelter, the Labor Department said on Tuesday. In the 12 months through January, the CPI increased 3.1%. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the CPI would gain 0.2% on the month and 2.9% on a year-on-year basis.

Its outlook contrasts that of the International Energy Agency (IEA), which advises oil-consuming nations, which last month predicted that oil demand growth would halve on economic headwinds. OPEC estimated global oil demand will grow by 2.2 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2024, whereas the IEA projected demand growth would decrease to 1.2 million bpd.

The four companies which have seen their rating outlook changed to stable from negative are Adani Green Energy Limited, Adani Green Energy Restricted Group 1, Adani Transmission Step-One Limited and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited.

The company had posted a consolidated profit of Rs 256.32 crore in the October-December quarter of FY2022-23, Nalco said in a filing to BSE.
