According to the latest mutual fund analysis conducted by ETMarkets, 24 stocks have witnessed a share price surge of over 100% in the current fiscal year (FY24) and are owned by more than 100 mutual fund schemes

The chemicals & petrochemicals sector features prominently with 11 stocks, followed by the banking & finance, retailing, and textiles, apparel & accessories sectors with five stocks each.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.93 points, or 0.04%, at the open to 38,656.76.

State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) on Monday reported a 22 per cent fall in its consolidated net profit to Rs 422.92 crore for the quarter ended in December 2023 due to lower income.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 500 crore, and an offer for sale of 1.57 crore shares by two promoters – Suresh Tyagi and Jimmy Tyagi – besides Premji Invest-owned PI Opportunities Fund I, and Kotak Special Situations Fund.

The 30-share BSE Sensex settled 523 points or 0.73% lower at 71,072.49 as 22 of its components closed in the red and eight in the green.
