Brent crude was up 49 cents, or 0.6%, to $77.53 a barrel at 1432 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was up 36 cents, or 0.5%, at $72.01, after both benchmarks gained around $2 in earlier trading.

The F&O contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.

Canara Bank is set to launch a separate cyber-security wing from April 1 to enhance its investment in cybersecurity initiatives and protect customers from online fraud. The wing, headed by a general manager, will monitor digital transactions in real-time and trigger alerts for potential fraud.

“Monetary policy transmission to bank lending and deposit rates has been stronger in this cycle compared to previous cycles” the Reserve Bank of India said In its latest Financial Stability Report.

The award in the unlisted subsidiary ascribed its value in a band of Rs150-260 crore. Previously, proxy advisory firm InGovern had estimated the Esops awarded to Saluja in Religare Enterprises as well as its health insurance subsidiary Care Health Insurance to be worth Rs480 crore.
