The private sector lender, with a market capitalization of more than Rs 7.3 lakh crore, hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,724 in October 2021 but soon lost momentum and breached its crucial 50-SMA placed around Rs 1,500 levels in November 2021.

Independent Analyst Manish Shah said the bearishness in the market is palpable, but the fact remains that the Nifty50 has not made a new low since May 16.

“This is a period when the market will stabilise. There can be a near term time correction or a 5-10% move either side, but overall there is going to be a margin reset. Demand is strong both domestic as well as global for Indian outfits. We feel companies can report better than expected top line.The issue on the margin front will get addressed within the next three to six months.”

Total expenses during the quarter were higher at Rs 32.98 crore as compared to Rs 27.18 crore in the year-ago period.For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, consolidated net profit was at Rs 105.92 as against Rs 61.01 crore in the previous fiscal, the company said.
