Crypto markets surged over 6% overnight reacting to US SEC Chairman’s tweet about crypto investing, Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus Crypto Platform said, attributing the development to the uptick in major cryptos.

A total of 64,537 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:28PM (IST).

Milind Karmarkar says: “A retail investor definitely needs to be lazy. At the same time, they also need to keep returning back to investment thought and confirm that the investment thought continues to hold in the company. As long as that is there, you do not need to do anything if the prices move up and down, no, not at all.”

The Nifty 1D Rate Index has been developed to measure the returns generated by market participants lending in the overnight market. The index uses the overnight rate provided through the Tri-Party Repo Dealing System (TREPS) for the computation of index values.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.13 per cent up at 845.45.

Mahantesh Sabarad says: “A mixture of events that has caused this underperformance on HDFC Bank overall. And within that mixture one cannot wish away what is happening to the banking sector per se. The banking sector is now on a high in terms of credit growth. The YoY credit growth number is upwards of 16% thereabouts.”

JPMorgan maintained an overweight rating on Tata Motors with a target price of Rs 925. JLR wholesales improved, and the mix remains strong.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 2063 on 31st May 2023, but it failed to hold on to the momentum. The stock closed at Rs 1826 on 8th January 2024, translating into a fall of over 11%.

Comex Gold futures were trading at $2,039.60 per troy ounce on Tuesday, up by $6.10 or 0.30% while Silver futures were trading at $23.335, lower by $0.025 or 0.110%.
