A 5-year swing high represents the highest price a stock has reached within a five-year timeframe.

At the aggregate level, the incumbent companies show manageable debt and improving ability to service it, adequate equity and healthy top-line and bottomline growth. While oil and gas has retained its status as the biggest sector in the listing based on annual revenue, banking leads in net profit share aided by buoyancy in credit offtake and improving asset quality.

Investors need to find companies with a strong cash flow to support expansion. A clean energy project has an earning life of 20-25 years, and it’s usually 80% debt-funded. In the first 10-12 years, a large amount of profit is spent on servicing debt. In the later period, investors have access to a higher share of earnings. Therefore, a company needs to have the right mix of underconstruction portfolio and mature assets where the debt repayment is over.

The F&O contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market-wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.

"We think DII flows have achieved critical mass, especially when we see the mutual fund systematic investment plans flows now above Rs 17,000 crore per month. We also see that 10% of incremental Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) flows becoming meaningful in Indian equity markets. Overall, we see these flows to be sustainable and have a probability of going up on both retail and institutional flows. "
