An ad hoc group holding two guaranteed bonds of Vedanta Resources (VRL) has advised investors to reject the proposed bond restructuring outlined in the consent solicitation released on December 13. “The smallcap inflows have been so overwhelming that the overvaluation of smallcaps relative to largecaps is at an all-time high. There is no precedent in Indian history for what we have seen in the last couple of years. Given that anomaly, the re-pricing of largecaps has a long way to go. Some of it has happened over the last couple of weeks, but I think this is just the beginning.”
