Spot gold was down 0.3% at $2,024.30 per ounce by 1200 GMT. Bullion had climbed to an all-time high of $2,135.40 on Monday, before dropping more than $100 in a single day to close 2% lower.

The Nifty SME EMERGE index launched in 2017, consisting of 166 companies from 19 sectors, has shown a CAGR of around 40% till November. This signifies a notable track record and the growing contribution of the SME sector in the overall economic growth of the country.

Kamath, however, said while they continuously put in a lot of effort to ensure all types of scenarios are factored in proactively, it is impossible for any technology platform to cover all edge cases.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 68.79 points, or 0.19%, at the open, to 36,135.65.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.22 per cent up at 739.35.

Currently, SBI holds a 60% stake in SBI Pension Funds. The bank will acquire the 20% stake held by SBICAPS, its wholly-owned subsidiary. Besides SBI and SBICAPS, SBI Funds Management owns a 20% stake in SBI Pension Funds.
