The value of FII holding in stocks that are part of the BSE Midcap index increased by a sharp Rs 1.8 lakh crore sequentially in the quarter ended June, data analysed by ETMarkets showed.

A total of 149,058 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:06AM (IST).

The block deal reported by ET NOW is the second in a row and follows a deal on Tuesday which saw 0.8% equity changing hands. Jio Financial counter had hit 5% upper circuit reacting to the development.

Suzlon Energy also delivered multibagger returns to its investors, as the stock has rallied over 140% year-to-date. It has also jumped over 200% in the last six months and gained over 350% in the past two years.

Promoters held 46.01 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2023, while FII and DII ownership stood at 19.17 per cent and 16.79 per cent, respectively.

"If you look up any segment, if the segment is dull and there is no excitement, the segment starts to stagnate. Therefore, the more the merrier. Analysts advised investors to subscribe to the issue for the long term as the company is backed by strong manufacturing capabilities, diverse product portfolio and solid financials.
