“In pharma, the focus is now shifting to the CDMO space, which has been an underperformer. We have seen some uptick in Divis, Laurus. Newland has done very well. This space looks the most attractive from a long-term perspective. One can also look selectively at hospitals, ” says Gurmeet Chadha.

Gold resumed trading on a negative note on the back of strength in the dollar index, and hawkish remarks from an FOMC member suggested that additional rate hikes would be possible, Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.

“Fundamentally India remains a very attractive market and we will see these bouts of selling and buying by FIIs but if I were to stick my neck out and say that how do we see direction of capital over a longer period of time, I think we will see steady FII inflows.”
