Shares of Suzlon have seen massive outperformance on the Street this year, rising by 71% on the back of a turnaround in its financial performance. In the last one month, the stock jumped nearly 62%. The company has turned net-worth positive after a decade at Rs 1,100 crore and has also reduced its net debt by 80% YoY to Rs 1,180 crore in FY23.

Industrial metal miners slipped 0.2%, tracking losses in base metal prices as weak economic data from top consumer China stoked demand concerns. Limiting declines, the pharmaceuticals and biotech sector gained 1.2%, buoyed by a rebound in shares of AstraZeneca. The index fell more than 5% on Monday.

Oil prices ticked higher on Tuesday as markets weighed August supply cuts by top exporters Saudi Arabia and Russia against a weak global economic outlook. Saudi Arabia on Monday said it would extend its voluntary output cut of 1 million barrels per day (bpd) to August while Russia and Algeria volunteered to lower their August output and export levels by 500,000 bpd and 20,000 bpd respectively.

Nifty saw huge short covering of the 19,300 call on Tuesday, which once again caused it to rally. As we get closer to the 19,500 mark on Nifty in the July expiry, expect to see some consolidation on the index. Bank Nifty is slowly seeing short straddles start to be created at the 45,500 mark for the July-end expiry. Taking the premium into account, one should not expect a run-away rally post 45500 in the very near term. It is also healthy if the indices consolidate for some time as this makes it ready for the next leg of either downside or upside depending upon the momentum.

Gold price edged higher by Rs 130 to Rs 59,280 per 10 gram in the national capital on Tuesday amid strong global cues, according to HDFC Securities. The precious metal had ended at Rs 59,150 per 10 gram in the previous trade.Silver also jumped Rs 100 to Rs 71,300 per kg.
