The foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs), who were net sellers of Indian equities in the first three months of the calendar year 2023, have come back in a big way recently, having pumped north of INR 30,000 crore into Indian equities in the month of May itself.

​M&M and Tata Motors are more into the commercial vehicles play though Tata Motors is more a conglomerate now so M&M is a better play in that respect. We like all these companies in general. Two wheelers are still lagging if you ask me.

The S&P BSE Sensex increased by over 200 points, while the Nifty50 closed just under 18600 points on Monday. The India VIX was slightly up, leading to it creating swings within a smaller range. On the options front, a broader trading range in between 18300 to 18800 zones is suggested while immediate trading range falls between 18400 to 18700 zones, according to Chandan Taparia, the Analyst-Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited. Stocks suggested by experts for a short-term trading horizon include BHEL, IndusInd Bank, and Titan Company, among others.

The US dollar was below its 2.5-month highs on Tuesday after US services data increased expectations of a rate pause at the Federal Reserve meeting next week, casting uncertainty on policy ahead. Meanwhile, bitcoin declined and neared $25,000 after the Securities and Exchange Commission sued Binance and its CEO over the claim they operated a "web of deception”. Money markets indicate 35% odds on a quarter-point rate increase as the Reserve Bank of Australia reaches its policy decision, while the RBA commentators are split over whether the bank would hike or hold on rates.

The Board of SBI will meet on June 9 to consider and approve for raising funds during FY24 through private placement mode by way of issuance of debt instruments.

I think next quarter or so, they will still remain subdued in the packaging films. After that, I think the margins will improve.

​So, while you may argue that in PE terms it is low, but if I have to look on a PEG basis which is I think a better reflection because that does factor in the earnings growth potential, within the top six, if I may, LTIMindtree probably look the most attractive within the space.

The RBI certainly seems to be on a pause mode. And in fact, global central banks also, especially the US Federal Reserve, also seems to be indicating that they would pause soon.

​The first part is that if you look at the differential between repo and the FFTR, upper bound, then that is today at 125 basis points. Now, that is the lowest number that we have seen in 23 years.
