At the closing bell, Fed Governor Christopher Waller said a string of "hot" data may force the U.S. central bank to raise rates higher than the 5.1%-5.4% range projected by the majority of Federal Reserve policymakers as recently as December.

Taking some steam out of the dollar and the breathless advance in U.S. yields were comments from Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic overnight that "slow and steady is going to be the appropriate course of action," despite new labour figures adding to the run of strong data of late.

The exodus threatens Silvergate’s SEN network, the bank’s key source of deposits and a platform for crypto participants to transfer money among each other. Silvergate’s platform has become one of the critical infrastructure bridges in the industry, which has historically had difficulties getting bank accounts.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose around 1%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both gained around 0.75%, even as Tesla Inc fell nearly 6% after the company failed to impress investors with few details on its plan to unveil an affordable electric vehicle.

After a long correction, the stock took support near Rs 55 level and bounce back sharply. Post reversal, the stock rallied over 15% and also formed a long bullish candle on daily charts.However, the short-term texture of the stock is still volatile and non-directional perhaps, traders are waiting for either side confirmation.

Analysts say that since the lender would also have a post-integration expense of ₹1,500 crore expensed over 18 months, the deal will only be profit accretive at the end of the calendar year 2024.

Hyderabad-based Greenko is 52% owned by GIC of Singapore. The founder duo — Anil Chalamalasetti and Mahesh Kolli — together own 12%, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority owns 14% while the rest is owned by Japanese major Orix Corporation.

Indian individuals can send money overseas through the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Under the scheme, an individual can send a maximum of $250,000 to an overseas jurisdiction in a year.

"Conditions are definitely being set up for demand generation and we have to be able to use these conditions of investment in the infrastructure, digital capacity and human capital," Shailesh Jejurikar, chief operating officer at Procter & Gamble Co, told ET in an interview.
