​VWAP or Volume Weighted Average Price is the average price of a stock, adjusted for its volume. It is calculated during a traded session by considering the total trading value of the stock and dividing it by the number of shares traded​

In the power space, we do like NTPC quite a bit, and for some time it has moved up but still there are a lot of opportunities there. Their green energy business is developing pretty well and some kind of corporate restructuring announcement should be coming in the near future and that should lead to significant value-unlocking in NTPC as well.

Net interest income rose 21% during the quarter to Rs 1,246 crore from Rs 1,028 crore in the same period a year ago. Cost to Income was 66.5% compared to 67.8% for Q1FY23, a release by the bank said.

The asset quality deteriorated marginally for the Jaipur-based lender with its gross non-performing assets rising to 1.76% at the end of June against 1.66% three months prior to that. Gross NPA was 1.96% a year back.

There are two supports for the IT index - 29,785 and 29,180. But there is quite a strong demand at lower levels. So, again, we could see a kind of a bounce back in this sector, but the trend has not significantly changed in the sector.

The coming week also has a monthly derivatives expiry lined up. The days would remain influenced by rollover-centric activities. The week is likely to see a tepid start, with the levels of 19,850 and 20,000 acting as potential resistance points. The supports come in at 19,610 and 19,470 levels.

The contribution profit for the first quarter is up by about 80% year-on-year to Rs 1,304 crore, with a margin of 56%. At the operating level, EBITDA before ESOP improved to Rs 84 crore, with margins at 4%, driven by an increase in contribution margin and operating leverage.

Its net interest income (NII) increased by 38% YoY to Rs 18,227 crore in Q1 while the net interest margin (NIM) was 4.78% in Q1 compared to 4.01% in Q1 of FY23 and 4.90% in Q4 of FY23.

Retail sales in the US rose 0.2% m/m in June 2023, following an upwardly revised 0.5% increase in May, but below forecasts of a 0.5% rise, while industrial production went down 0.5% from a month earlier in June 2023, falling for the second month.
