While the upcoming quarterly results will be critical in determining the trend that can dominate, the factors laid above suggest that value stocks are likely to outperform growth stocks, at least in the short term.

“We have been receiving many complaints on digital lending frauds, we take immediate action against such cases. Whether the complaint is made directly or indirectly, even on social media, we act on it on an individual basis,” Shaktikanta Das, governor, RBI said while addressing reporters in the post policy press conference.

"Over the last three years, we have issued various guidelines on governance, bank CEO and full-time director salaries, on NBFCs, asset reconstruction companies and co-operative banks, which we are examining and will issue framework. It is for large NBFCs to take their own decision on their future," Das said.

The central bank raised its FY23 inflation estimate and lowered that for economic growth, warning that those forecasts were based on oil at $100 a barrel. The RBI said it will have a "nimble-footed" approach to liquidity, introducing the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) to manage excess cash in the system.

The SDF rate has been set at 3.75%, higher than the 3.35% fixed reverse repo rate, which is the rate at which banks park their excess funds with the RBI in exchange of government securities as collateral.

The working group will recommend an alternative set of eligibility criteria for entities to act as sponsor; review the existing eligibility requirements for being a sponsor; recommend mechanisms for addressing conflict of interest that may arise if pooled investment vehicles/ private equity act as sponsor.
