The seasoned investors bought 17,00,000 equity shares or a 1.61 per cent stake in the company during the January-March 2022 period, a filing by the company suggests.

The stock has returned 98 per cent in the last one year. In the last one month, it is up 13 per cent.

“At the moment, there is no system forming and nothing moving. Normally, we have a trail of western disturbances keeping the north cool in March at least and it even spills over to the first few days of April, but nothing is happening. It is absolutely dry. March was the driest month pan-India in the last many years with a rain deficiency of 72%.”

"Business saw subdued activity in top cities due to Omicron wave in January, a very strong resurgence in February and again a drop in customer purchases in March on the back of a sharp rise in gold prices and sentiment impact due to the external geo-political conflict," Titan Company said.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.37 per cent down at 13758.45.

“With effect from this week, we have increased the prices by 2-3%. Now our stated objective is to ensure that the affordability is maintained. In other words, we are ensuring that the entry level product prices are more or less remaining the same because we have re-engineered or redesigned our products.”

A total of 8,684 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:23PM (IST).

The Relative Strength Index of the stock stood at 52.08 on Wednesday.

“I am expecting a fairly broad-based recovery. But there is a gap between a decision to set up a new project when you actually start spending the money and even some more time before one exhausts the equity that is available. Credit growth in India should pick up any time because of the high inflationary conditions that we are seeing.”

The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 606.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 399.4.
