Yes Bank share price: Yes Bank shares surged up to 8.5% after reports said Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC) is in advanced talks to acquire a significant stake from SBI. SBI, which owns 24%, may trigger a 26% open offer if the deal goes through. This could make SMBC the largest shareholder in the country’s sixth-largest private lender.
