Oil gains around 1% after OPEC+ holds line on supply

Brent crude rose 72 cents or 0.9% to $81.26 a barrel by around 0452 GMT, after falling nearly 2% on Thursday. U.S. oil gained 78 cents or 1.0% to $79.59 a barrel, having declined 2.5% in the previous session.

At the current prices, it is aiming at a valuation of $19.5-20 billion, in-line with anchor investor demand but nearly two-thirds of what the grey market was valuing the firm a month back.

HCL Tech to hire 10,000 hands for AWS unit

This dedicated business unit within HCL will be supported by AWS engineering, solutions and business teams. HCL currently holds five AWS competencies, has more than 10,000 professionals trained on AWS and plans to boost this capacity to more than 20,000 specialists in the future, it said in a statement.

“We were a sizable part of IBM in India as global technology services, and we are starting with almost twice the market share of the next player (in India),” Kyndryl’s India President Lingraju Sawkar says.

Investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala added banks, metal and real estate companies to his cart while raising stake in his old-time favourite Titan Company by 0.1%.

“In the next two-three years, when the economy recovers and the credit cycle changes and credit cost cycle goes in the reverse, public sector banks will also do well.”
