Among Sensex stocks, NTPC climbed 2.4 per cent to Rs 162.30. Hindustan Unilever, UltraTech Cement, Titan and Asian Paints advanced 1.2 per cent, 1.04 per cent, 1.04 per cent and 0.72 per cent, respectively. ITC, Reliance Industries, L&T, IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank rose up to 0.6 per cent. Losers included TCS, Infosys and Kotak Mahindra Bank, which fell up to 0.6 per cent. HDFC Bank, HDFC and M&M declined up to 0.4 per cent. M&M and HCL Tech edged lower.
