The pan-European STOXX 600 skid 0.3% after positive trading updates and commodity prices helped spark a rebound in shares in its previous session.

The CSI300 index ended 0.9% higher at 4,823.51, while the Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.1% to 3,555.06 points.

Further downside cannot be ruled out, said analysts, who suggested investors to be selective in stock picking

“We are looking at a revenue growth of around 10% for HUL and an EBITDA of around Rs 3,300 crore, gross margin of close to 52% and profit numbers should be in the range of Rs 2,200-2,300 crore.”

On the technical charts, the 200-day moving average of the stock stood at Rs 656.39.

“Economic conditions were better in Q3FY22 as compared to Q2FY22, although some key indicators like auto sales remain muted. The quarter also witnessed adverse weather events which impact the general insurance business,” the company said.

A total of 18,538 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:40PM (IST).

“If one is a long-term investor with a mindset of three to five years, the best returns are coming in the larger companies within the banking and NBFC space.”
