Swedish gardening power equipment maker Husqvarna dropped 1.8% after it said production in the second quarter had been constrained by continued component supply shortage.

"The indexes gained earlier in the session because investors sought to buy cheap stocks but the trading activities shrank as they struggled to find market moving cues," said Chihiro Ohta, assistant general manager at the investment research and investor services at SMBC Nikko Securities.

“This trend of allocation towards ETF is increasing and is likely to gain further traction. The ETF market is expected to grow on the back of continued thrust from the government and rising acceptance of such products as an investment vehicle by the retail segment. ETFs are best placed from an asset allocation perspective as they do not carry any stock selection risk,” the brokerage said.

Promoters held 46.86 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2022, while FII and DII ownership stood at 10.82 per cent and 4.83 per cent, respectively.

The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 173.45 and low of Rs 125.2.
