The rupee opened weaker against the US dollar on Thursday as the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s December meeting showed that policymakers were considering a faster-than-expected pace of rate hikes in the world’s largest economy. The partially convertible rupee opened at 74.4450/$1 against74.3600/$1 at the previous close.
