Go First’s share sale comes as air travel is rebounding in the South Asian nation driven by pent-up demand as people emerge from one of the world’s worst coronavirus outbreaks.

At present, Nifty50 trades at a 12-month forward PE ratio of 17.5 times, in line with the pre-Covid three-year average, and marginally above the pre-Covid five-year average of 16.9 times, the brokerage said.

RBI’s specific concerns towards cryptocurrencies leading to ‘dollarization’ is based on an incorrect or at least a short-sighted assumption, said the market experts.

In the international market, gold was trading lower at $1,812 per ounce while silver was flat at $21.33 per ounce.

Local media reports said the authorities have increased the price of 1,000 ml liquor by Rs 120. The price of a quarter bottle has been hiked by Rs 20. On all types of beer, there was a minimum hike of Rs 10 per bottle, reported Telangana Today.

​The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 464 points, or 1.5%, a day after it experienced the biggest one-day drop since 2020. The Nasdaq Composite was the outlier, gaining 0.2% on some early strength in Apple and Nvidia.​

The market benchmark Nifty50 has fallen 9.7 per cent in the last four weeks against a 9.5 per cent drop in the MSCI AC World index and a 9.3 per cent fall in the MSCI Asia ex-Japan index during the same period.
