Revenue from operations rose to Rs 26,968.21 crore from Rs 15,549.07 crore in January-March 2021.For the full fiscal ending March 31, the company reported its highest ever net profit of Rs 10,363.97 crore, against Rs 4,890.18 crore in the previous year.

“Indian stocks have underperformed massively compared to global peers and so it is not as much a worry on the global commodity price cycle as it is a worry on what policy makers over here do and how does it impact earnings and in the backdrop of ownership, which was relatively high.”

The guidelines relating to basic eligibility criteria, viz., net-owned funds (NOF) requirement and targets, remain largely unchanged. The consolidated operational guidelines for PDs issued in 2005 are updated from time to time.There are 21 PDs including 14 backed by banks and seven other standalone bond houses.

At the interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 77.60 against the American dollar and then inched up to quote at 77.59, registering a rise of just 2 paise over the previous close. It was moving in a close range of 77.59 to 77.61 in early deals.
