Oil prices see-sawed near 14-year highs as the United States considered acting alone to ban Russian oil imports rather than teaming up with its European allies.

The stock traded at a P/E multiple of 35.64, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 36.38.

Promoters held 51.55 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2021, while FII and DII ownership stood at 17.65 per cent and 18.31 per cent, respectively.

The surge in stainless steel comes after nickel prices spiked 90% to an all-time high in the previous session and extended gains on Tuesday. Russia supplies around 10% nickel to the world.

"The heightened volatility in the market continues. Even though the market is now oversold, sentiments are negative. The positive development from the market perspective is the exit poll projection of BJP doing well in UP. Declining bond yields in the US and the possibility of lower-than-feared rate hikes by the Fed are reliefs from the market perspective," said Dr V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services.

Oil, metal and other commodities prices have soared as fighting in Ukraine has intensified, adding to concerns there is no end in sight to inflation.

The capital markets regulator directed Dish TV India to immediately disclose the results of its AGM held on December 30, 2021, to the exchanges after the complaints from its shareholders.

On the technical charts, the RSI of the stock stood at 36.26.
