BSE data shows that Morgan Stanley Investment Funds Emerging Leaders Equity Fund sold 13,14,055 shares of Happiest Minds at Rs 800 per share. On the other hand, Plutus Wealth Management bought 19,39,325 shares at Rs 800.02 apiece.

Mutual fund body AMFI is likely to announce the official list of the semi-annual review for the second half of 2022. Prior to this, various brokerage firms and analysts have launched their initial expectations for the same.

The rupee appreciated by 7 paise to settle at 77.98 (provisional) against the US dollar on Monday as crude oil prices retreated from elevated levels.

The Anil Agarwal-led mining major has invited an expression of interest (EoI) for the Tuticorin-based smelter, following an order from the Tamil Nadu government. The plant has been closed for more than four years.

Buying was seen across sectors as investors lapped up stocks at depressed prices as positive trends in the global markets inspired the domestic market to trade positively, with large caps gaining the most while mid and small caps continued to trade with cuts.

Sun Pharma performance has been a mixed bag in the near term as the shares dropped 13 per cent in the last month, whereas rose close to 7 per cent in last six months.

“The first round of investments in my opinion should go towards large companies and largecap funds because that is where there is liquidity, that is where the risk is controlled. Maybe when markets stabilise and some liquidity comes in the small and midcap space, we can look at that space,”
