Sony has shifted from being the creator of iconic household electronics such as the Walkman to an entertainment behemoth straddling games, movies and music and a leading maker of image sensors.

The Relative Strength Index of the stock stood at 31.96 on Thursday.

The stock was listed at a premium of 2% on the NSE at Rs 330 and the high for this stock has been Rs 340.45 on the intraday basis.

“If there are 3,000 companies, only 100-150 are largecaps. Rest all are mid and smallcaps. When the return from the category is 20-25%, then you need to be more careful because valuations are high in that segment and cheaper in largecaps . Promoters held 51.52 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Sep-2023, while FII and DII ownership stood at 14.65 per cent and 8.83 per cent, respectively.

A total of 8,000 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:52PM (IST).

On the technical charts, the 200-day moving average of the stock stood at Rs 2094.79.

For the current weekly series, 19500 call has significant open interest, followed by 19600 strikes. On the put side, 19400 has significant open interest, followed by 19300 strike implying the zone of 19410-19390 will act as immediate support for the index.
