The F&O contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market-wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.

Citigroup maintained a buy rating on Prestige Estates but raised the target price to Rs 982 from Rs 693 earlier.

“I feel that with the product mix change in favour of high yielding assets like credit card loan, MSME and personal loan, ICICI Bank’s NIM and ROA going forward should sustain at the level of 4.5% and 2% respectively. At the current market price, the price to book is around 2.4 times FY25 price to book multiple.”

MCX December gold futures were trading at Rs 59,901 per 10 gram, up by Rs 108 or 0.18% from the Thursday closing price. Meanwhile, the December silver futures were trading at Rs 70,350 per kg, lower by Rs 700 or 0.99%.

Among the Sensex stocks, Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, and Reliance Industries opened with cuts, while M&M, L&T, Titan, and Tata Steel opened with gains.

“At the end of five years we want our ROCE to be in the range of 19 to 22% and we are at 12% right now. The reason why we have given that is because we have used the last 10 years to develop and create infrastructure. We believe that now is the time to optimize, to sweat the assets and to squeeze and to get more efficiency and more and more operations out of it.”

Short-term traders can look to buy the stock for a possible bounce back towards its 52-week high levels in the next 2-3 weeks, suggest experts.
