Jubilant FoodWorks Q2 profit after tax (PAT) margin declined by 38 bps sequentially to 5.4% while its EBITDA margin came in at 20.9%, lower by 23 bps sequentially. During the quarter, the pizza seller reported a 4.5% YoY rise in its revenue from operations to Rs 1,344.8 crore as compared to Rs 1,286.8 crore in the year-ago period.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.96 per cent down at 578.8.

“When the market gets to about 18,500 to 18,400, I will evaluate the market at that point. That will be a decision point for me. It does look like the markets are going to drop below the 2022 low. But at the moment, I will keep that as an evaluator.”

Net interest margin (NIM) increased 15 basis points YoY to 4.11% in the reporting period. However, it was flat sequentially.Operating profit for the quarter rose 12% YoY to Rs 8,632 crore. Fee income rose 31% YoY in the September 2023 quarter to Rs 4,963 crore, while retail fees jumped 38%.

Equity-related outflows were another headwind for the rupee, said Dilip Parmar, a foreign exchange research analyst at HDFC Securities. Overseas investors have sold over $1.19 billion worth of Indian equities in October so far, according to NSDL data.
