Investment bankers in Mumbai have seen a 41% increase in fee income, reaching $967.5m, during the first nine months of 2023, despite a decline in deals. This is the highest fee collection by deal makers since records began in 2000. Completed M&A advisory fees rose by 34% to $362m, while equity capital market underwriting fees increased by 38% to $194.3m.
