Gold falls Rs 50; silver climbs Rs 500

Gold price fell by Rs 50 to Rs 60,000 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at Rs 60,050 per 10 grams.

The lender had announced Rs 400 crore as the base issue size with an option to retain oversubscription up to Rs 600 crore.

Smallcap funds saw inflows of Rs 4,265 crore in August, higher than the inflows of Rs 4,171 crore seen in July.
