Ace investor Ashish Kacholia has sold a partial stake in D-link (India) through bulk deals, with him selling 3.69 lakh shares of 1.04% in the company at Rs 227.91 apiece. Kacholia has taken home around Rs 8.43 crore through the sale, and has decreased his stake in the company by a total of 1.6%.

CreditSights, owned by Fitch Ratings, has recommended investors buy bonds of Vedanta Resources (VRL) with a high-risk appetite and a possible sharp sell-off nature. However, it also expects VRL to handle its debt maturities in the next 12 months and anticipates the rally in bond prices by 10-15 points.

BSE has sold 4.5% stake or 47.44 lakh shares in Central Depository Services Ltd (CDSL) through open market transactions to comply with regulatory norms, which state that a stock exchange can only hold a 15% stake in a depository. ICICI Pru Tech fund bought 5.28 lakh shares in CDSL or around 0.5%. Meanwhile, Madhuri Kela, wife of Madhusudan Kela, acquired a 1.67% stake in Sangam India by buying 8.4 lakh shares. Sangam India is the largest producer of PV dyed yarn in Asia with an annual capacity to produce 30 million meters of fabric and 48 million meters of denim.

Tata Motors plans to increase its EV portfolio’s contribution to sales from 12% to 25% by the end of FY2027 and to 50% by 2030, according to its annual report. BSE sells 5% stake in CDSL to comply with Sebi norms

BSE has sold a 4.54% stake in Central Depository Services (India) (CDSL) through a block deal worth INR468cr ($63m) to comply with market regulator Sebi norms which state a stock exchange is only allowed to hold a 15% stake in a depository. BSE previously held a 20% stake in CDSL. In the IPO for CDSL in 2017, BSE sold 26.05% of its previous 50.05% stake, and shares of CDSL have since gained 4% in the last three months, compared to BSE shares’ rise of nearly 29%.

Oil prices rose after forecasts from the International Energy Agency and OPEC predicted bullish oil demand growth. Brent crude futures were up 1.3% at $75.24 a barrel, and US WTI crude was up 1.3% at $70.32 a barrel. China’s central bank lowering short-term lending rates also supported market speculation of rising fuel demand. The Federal Open Market Committee’s decision to pause interest rate hikes also suggests interest rates will support oil demand and, therefore, prices. In addition, the IEA forecasted an increase in oil demand growth by 200,000 barrels per day to 2.4 million barrels per day this year.
