Indian stock exchanges are proposing a "more flexible" price range for derivatives contracts to reduce the impact of market volatility, Chandan Taparia, derivatives analyst at Motilal Oswal, has said. After the cooling off period, there would be a range for both options and futures prices after the script hits its price band. The aim is to prevent mis-pricing. The proposal is currently up for consultation.

Meanwhile, concerns over regional banks led US bank shares to continue their decline.

Moreover, rural growth has stabilised and started showing early signs of improvement, and that should increase the confidence that Nifty will be able to deliver mid-teens earning growth in FY24.
