ICICIdirect said HUL may log a 10 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 2,210.2 crore for the quarter on a 14.8 per cent rise in sales at Rs 13,132 crore, thanks to a recovery in home care & beauty and personal care segment.

In the BSE500 index, more than 350 stocks ended the week on a positive note while the rest closed with cuts. Among the gainers, more than 40 counters registered a rise of 10 per cent or more during the week.

The mcap of ICICI Bank rose by Rs 16,860.76 crore to reach Rs 5,04,249.13 crore and that of HDFC gained Rs 16,020.7 crore to Rs 5,07,861.84 crore.

Phillip Capital expects Nestle India to report 11.2 per cent YoY rise in net profit Rs 652.60 crore for the third quarter compared with Rs 587.10 crore in the year-ago quarter. Sales are seen rising 12.9 per cent YoY to Rs 3,981.10 crore from Rs 3,525.40 crore. Ebitda margin may fall 26 basis points YoY to 24.8 per cent from 25.1 per cent.

Sharekhan sees profit growth at 6.3 per cent and sales growth at 10.9 per cent. It sees operating profit margin falling 200 basis points YoY to 23.5 per cent from 25.5 per cent YoY.
