The Nifty Auto index closed 0.8 per cent down at 12919.4.

The yellow metal had closed at Rs 52,182 per 10 grams in the previous trade.Silver also fell sharply by Rs 1,060 to Rs 57,913 per kg from Rs 58,973 per kg in the previous trade.In the international market, gold was trading higher at USD 1,767 per ounce while silver was flat at USD 19.93 per ounce.

Capacity increased 145 per cent YoY while passenger numbers climbed 221.9 per cent for the quarter. Fuel prices rose 95.5 per cent YoY. InterGlobe reported an EBITDAR of Rs 716.90 crore with EBITDAR margin of 5.6 per cent. This is against a negative EBITDAR of Rs 1360.20 crore with a negative EBITDAR margin of 45.2 per cent.

BSE Sensex seesawed between red and green but ended 214 points or 0.37 per cent higher at 58,350.53. Its NSE counterpart, Nifty50, ended 42.7 points or 0.25 per cent to close at Rs 17,388.15.Among the gainers, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Titan surged over 1 per cent each, followed by Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and RIL.

​​Consolidated total revenue for the quarter jumped 115 per cent YoY to Rs 15,509 crore compared with Rs 7,213 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

During the quarter, DIL opened 25 new restaurants for KFC taking the total count to 391. While for Pizza Hut, it added 34 stores taking the total count to 436 stores.It was operating 69 stores of Costa Coffee by the end of June 30, 2022.DIL also operates 29 stores of KFC in Nigeria and 18 stores of KFC and Pizza Hut in Nepal.

The stock traded at a P/E multiple of 69.91, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 7.87.

In Japan, Daikin Industries jumped 3.96% as the air-conditioning systems maker lifted its outlook, while West Japan Railway rose 3.47% after posting a quarterly operating profit.
