Metro Brands Ltd., incorporated in the year 1977, is a Small Cap company (having a market cap of Rs 20682.08 Crore) operating in General sector.

The company said execution on the earlier announced 3mnte Devapur expansion would begin post getting all clearances for Tiroda grinding unit. It noted that the Rajasthan government recently restored the mining lease in Chittorgarh district in favour of the company, and the location is now available for expansion.

The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1503.7 and a 52-week low of Rs 1037.8.

Among Sensex stocks, Infosys gained 0.9 per cent to Rs 1,556.95. HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and Hindustan Unilever rose 0.75 per cent, 0.65 per cent and 0.46 per cent, respectively. Bajaj Finserv, Wipro, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries edged up to 0.4 per cent higher. Losers included M&M which fell 1.49 per cent to Rs 1,236.55. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, IndusInd Bank and NTPC dropped up to 1.5 per cent.

Helped partially by the loosening of purse strings by FIIs, the Sensex has rallied over 7,000 points from its 52-week low of sub-51,000 level in mid-June to 58,000 plus level. Nifty has also bounced around 2,000 points from its mid-summer low after rallying nearly 9 per cent in July.

The Relative Strength Index of the stock stood at 62.62 on Wednesday.

Barring Bitcoin, Solana and Tron, all the top crypto tokens were trading higher on Wednesday. Solana plunged about 3 per cent, whereas Polygon, Ethereum and BNB surged 3 per cent each. Shiba Inu and Avalanche added 2 per cent each.
