The cryptocurrency industry has seen turmoil amid wider turbulence in financial markets. This past week was Wall Street’s worst since 2020, during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.

The dollar index, which measures the currency against the yen, euro and four other major peers, was flat at 104.70, consolidating below the 105.79 high from Wednesday, a level not seen since late 2002.

Barring the stablecoins, all of the crypto tokens were trading with gains on Monday. Dogecoin zoomed about 13 per cent, whereas Ethereum was trading 12 per cent up. Bitcoin, Solana, Avavalance and Shiba Inu gained 6-8 per cent each.

Tata Coffee, R Systems International, Shree Digvijay Cement Company, Sagarsoft (India), LKP Securities, LKP Finance and Citizen Infoline will have their annual general meetings meanwhile Winsome Textile Industries and Gayatri Tissue & Papers will have their EGMs today.

Stocks that were in action on Friday included names like Titan Company which fell more than 6 per cent, Hindustan Aeronautics which rose more than 6 per cent, and Wipro which fell more than 4 per cent to hit a fresh 52-week low.

ITC Ltd., incorporated in the year 1910, is a Large Cap company (having a market cap of Rs 324471.33 Crore) operating in Tobacco sector.

A senior executive aware of the developments said the move is aimed at increasing insurance penetration, retention, reducing protection gap and also creating new avenues of consumer and corporate financing.
