Fertilizer stocks like Fertilizers & Chemicals Travancore, GNFC, GSFC, Madras Fertilizers fell up to 9% as the GST council referred a recommendation on exempting the sector from 5% GST to Group of Ministers for rate rationalisation.

Visaman Global Sales IPO opened today to raise Rs 16.05 crore through a fresh equity issue. The company specializes in steel products and aims to utilize the funds for capital expenditure and working capital needs.

The GST on petrol and diesel and all the passenger fuels will take a lot of time. GST on ATF and natural gas could come in hopefully soon, but for other petroleum products like petrol and diesel and other passenger fuels, where a lot of revenue is involved, it will take some time, says Pratik Jain, Partner, PwC India

There is not much change in what I thought could do well. So, I think as the only basket where people can reconsider potentially is on the consumption side where if there are normal monsoons and there are some tax sops, so that is where some sort of recovery could play out.

The smaller pharma companies I find it tough to evaluate, so many of them can potentially do well but I do not have the bandwidth to go molecule by molecule and evaluate those companies. But I think Sun Pharma is a decent business model, so we are just holding it for the long term.
