U.S. stock indexes cautiously higher ahead of CPI report and Fed policy meeting.

On Monday, the benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed lower after reaching record high levels earlier in the session, with blue-chip IT stocks experiencing selling pressure.

We believe that elections are just another passing event in the long investing journey for an investor. There have been many coalition governments in the past as well, however, we have also seen that an investor who stays invested by remaining focused, disciplined and not getting swayed by his own emotions has benefitted immensely over the long run.

The unexpected outcome of the general election has changed the political scenario. However, BJP should be able to form the government in the third term, but the reform agenda of the government may go into the backburner.

You could find opportunities in banking space in the 5 to 10 times price to earnings rate. I would not call that expensive by any measure. So, there are reasonable opportunities in the market to take advantage of.
