Gold prices are slowly pulling upwards amid high inflationary pressure, geo-political tensions and global growth worries, said Ravi Singh, Vice President and Head of Research, ShareIndia.

"Investors could refrain themselves from taking large positions ahead of monthly expiry and the US Fed decision in the evening," Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst at Reliance Securities, said.

“Compared to some of the other names like ABB, Siemens and few other companies, L&T has underperformed despite the fact that it is a far more diversified portfolio and hydrocarbons is a very important component of the overall business. We continue to have a positive bias on L&T at this point of time.”

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.32 per cent up at 12504.35.

Margin is seen at 8.4 per cent against 4.6 per cent YoY. Ebitda is seen surging 166 per cent YoY to Rs 2,182 crore from Rs 821 crore YoY. New product launches and demand outlook for FY23 will be keenly watched. Inventory levels, discounting trends, impact of commodity inflation in H1, will also be closely followed.
