“Remember very clearly that the employee does not contribute to the pension part, only the employer does and the entire part of the employee’s contribution goes to the provident fund part. Now the pension part is important because this is the area where if you are eligible, then at the time of your retirement, you will start getting a pension based on the working of the EPS.”

In the September quarter of FY23, prompted by a fall in shares, promoters of 11 BSE500 firms -- Uno Minda, Infosys, Birlasoft, GMM Pfaudler, Bajaj Auto, NCC, Vardhman Textiles, Jindal Steel & Power, Strides Pharma Science, JM Financial and VIP Industries -- raised stakes between 1-3%.

Abbott India Ltd., incorporated in the year 1944, is a Large Cap company (having a market cap of Rs 41423.28 Crore) operating in Pharmaceuticals sector.

If the stock manages to close above the same, then we can expect an uptrend rally towards 4500-4600. On the flip side, trading below 3850 may increase further weakness till 3700.

Global brokerage firm CLSA, BofA and Citigroup shared their views on a number of stocks and sectors, including ICICI Bank, public sector lenders and consumer staples.

Thus, markets can remain elevated and can witness more time correction after a brief period of the surge which we are seeing currently. The results were average with earnings growth slightly lagging what most people were expecting. The overall scenario where people are unable to take a big directional view is getting reflected in the markets overall.”
