The total market cap of Shiba Inu has dropped to $11.35 billion. It was as much as thrice the current value during its golden days. However, the trading volumes of the token have remained healthy, thanks to its dirt-cheap price.

Firstly, blockchain technology and applications based on it, like NFTs and cryptocurrencies, allow athletes, clubs or sports teams to gain economic benefits. Secondly, it increases transparency as clubs and teams can also use this mode to transfer players’ salaries or transfer fees.

“People had invested knowing that this risk was there and we would not advocate taking money off the table at this point in time. But the next couple of months will see little ups and downs. Wherever there is comfort with a stock or a sector and one is getting more attractive prices, then this is as good a time as any to start dipping one’s toes in that space.”

Apart from Zomato, its other tech peers were also trading with cuts. One 97 Communications, which owns Paytm, was down over 1 per cent. Nykaa also dipped over 1 per cent. PB Fintech, which runs Policybazaar, was down 4 per cent. Cartrade Tech, which reported a loss for the third quarter, was down another 6 per cent.
